April Write Up

Terry and I had a very busy Caribbean racing schedule and unfortunately were unable to make a visit to RMI before the end of the month.  These photos were all sent in from the team in Maine, and clearly there is no slowing down.  Terry and I are scheduled to visit tomorrow (Thurs May 7th).

The plywood sub deck went down.  The cockpit was brought in and fit to the boat.  The teak trim was laid down around the perimeter of the boat and all the hatches and cabin house.  Now the teak deck is being installed.  While all that is going on, they've been busy building out and finishing the interior.  We see shots from the galley, where the icebox and chart table are mostly complete as well as the port side stove area.

Henry Maxwell from Hall Spars has been up in Maine to take measurements for some of the details on the mast, and our team at Quantum and Hood are busy finalizing sail details.

This week, I will be putting together the safety equipment and gear to bring up later in the month and before long we will be organizing for the launch and delivery to Nantucket!
